Selling newspapers was an occupation sometimes held by boys and men with handicaps
that kept them from other jobs (DN-0002901, DN-0002899, DN-0000365). However, the
work was strenuous, as suggested by the pose struck by a champion newsboy in 1904
with an armload of newspapers balanced on his hip (DN-0001815).
