Selections from the Cuneiform Tablets Collection: Acknowledgments


David K. Moore, acquisition assistant, Northern European Acquisitions Section, provided the initial brief translation and identification of the tablets in the Library's catalog for the online project. Professor Marcel Sigrist, École biblique françoise Jérusalem, transliterated and drew the clay tablets.

Sam Manivong, digital conversion specialist, Collections and Services, coordinated production of the online collection. Domenico Sergi, Joel Kaufman, and Glen Krankowski, Library of Congress Digital Scan Center, Information Technology Services (ITS), scanned the materials. The site design and HTML coding were overseen by Lola Pyne and Tracey Marie Salley, Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI). Andrea Matles Savada, Collections and Services, and Margaret Alessi Mason, Manuscript Division, edited the online text. David Woodward, ITS, performed all the special programming, and Christa Maher, OSI, assisted both in preparing the metadata and with a variety of technical matters. Caroline Arms, Steven C. McCollum, and Chris Testa, all from OSI; as well as Aaron Chaletzky, Digital Conversion Team; Laura Gottesman, Digital Reference Team; and Phil Michel, Prints & Photographs Division, also provided assistance.

Margaret Alessi Mason, Manuscript Division; Maureen Harrington and Michael Hughes, Office of General Counsel, provided research and advice regarding rights issues for the online materials. Many other people also provided technical and managerial support behind the scenes, including Carolyn Brown, director, Collections and Services; Beverly Ann Gray, chief of the African and Middle Eastern Division; Michael Grunberger, head of the Hebraic Section, African and Middle Eastern Division; and Michael Neubert, digital projects coordinator.
